The Role:
This role involves designing and integrating client websites into our enterprise-level content management system. You will be involved throughout the lifecycle of the project, integrating multiple websites into the CMS using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
You will be working as part of our Professional Services department, alongside a team of Analysts, Project Managers and Web Developers.
The role is client-focused, therefore good communication is essential. This is a unique opportunity for you to work with clients on large scale projects, and to develop your skills with an exciting team.
What you will do:
Produce high quality CMS-driven sites from detailed functional specifications. Work with clients and Project Managers to ensure high-quality website designs and timely project deliverables.
Develop maintainable and re-usable HTML/CSS/JS to address client needs.
Work with our Implementation Analysts, advising on the estimation, design, development, and implementation of projects.
Thoroughly test these sites prior to client delivery.
Write detailed client facing documentation for your work.
Skills and Experience required:
Experience in website design (UI/UX) including requirements gathering/workshops, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.
HTML/CSS/Sass/JavaScript skills: be comfortable with translating a high-fidelity design into HTML, CSS and JavaScript markup using Sass technologies.
Accessibility knowledge working to WCAG/Section 508 standards.
Experience using Bootstrap and/or Foundation frameworks.
Experience of working with colleagues to develop project specifications.
Self-motivated and organised, you enjoy the challenge of achieving tight deadlines in a project-driven environment.
Strong communication skills
Fluent English language skills
Good to have Skills and Experience:
Experience with GIT (and /or other version control) is an advantage.
Previous experience with Figma/Adobe Creative Cloud (or other applicable design development software)
Experience of Content Management Systems
Previous experience working in the Higher Education market
Experience with task-runners/bundlers/compilers (Gulp/Grunt/Webpack etc.)
