The Role

We are currently looking to recruit a UI/UX Designer to join our Research and Development. This role is remote.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to understand user requirements and translate them into design solutions for our CMS product.

  • Conduct user research to gather insights and validate design decisions, utilizing a variety of research methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using industry-standard design tools, with a focus on Figma.

  • Develop user flows, information architecture, and interaction models that align with best practices and enhance the overall user experience.

  • Iterate and refine designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and data analysis to ensure continuous improvement and usability enhancements.

  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs and maintain design consistency throughout the product.

  • Stay up to date with the latest UX/UI trends, technologies, and industry best practices, and proactively incorporate them into the design process.



Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in UX/UI design for web or software applications.

  • Strong proficiency in UX research methodologies, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.

  • Expertise in using Figma and/or Balsamiq or similar design tools to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.

  • Solid understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and visual design principles.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

  • A portfolio demonstrating a strong foundation in UX/UI design and showcasing previous work on CMS or similar products is required.

  • Understanding of Accessibility Standards: Experience or knowledge of designing with accessibility in mind, including familiarity with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), ATAG (Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines) and accessibility best practices, is beneficial. The candidate should be able to create designs that are inclusive and accessible to users with disabilities, ensuring a positive user experience for all.



Desirable Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.

  • Knowledge of Front-end Development: Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be an advantage. The ability to collaborate effectively with developers, understand technical constraints, and provide design recommendations that align with development feasibility is highly desirable.
